At present, the Ajou GSIS has over 540 alumnus in more than 65 countries worldwide, who are working at government agencies and global enterprises and playing an important roles in their respective positions.

  • Mar. 1996

    Graduate School of International Studies was established with 6 departments; Korean Studies,Area Studies, International Business, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information and Computer Engineering. 60 students from 6 departments enrolled.

  • Aug. 1996

    1996 International Festival : Rumania Day (Former International Day)

  • Mar. 1997

    Inauguration of 1st Dean of GSIS, Prof. Young-il Mok

  • Sep. 1997

    The second enrollment of 30 students from 9 countries

  • Nov. 1997

    First International Day organized by Ajou GSIS.

  • Feb. 1998

    The first conferment of degrees(1 ME in Electronic Engineering, 15 MBAs in International Business)

  • Mar. 1998

    2 additional departments(International Economics, Business Administration) were established

    The total enrollment of 84 students in 8 departments

    Institute for Korean Studies was established at Ajou university

    Transportation Research center established

  • Feb. 2001

    The fourth conferment of degrees(21 MBAs in International Business, 2 MEs in Information and ComputerEngineering)

  • Mar. 2001

    2 additional departments(International Trade & NGO) were newly established

    - New Department : Department of International Trade(MBA) & Department of NGO Studies(International Relations Masters) were opened

  • Jun. 2002

    The first Ajou Univ.-Univ. of Florida Economic Forum

  • Aug. 2002

    Inauguration of the 2nd Dean of GSIS, Prof. Hyo Joon Hahm

  • Dec. 2002

    Ajou - Samsung Global Business Program (ASGB), first program produced 18 students

  • Sep. 2004

    Inauguration of the 3rd Dean of GSIS, Prof. Jin-ho Choi

  • Sep. 2004

    First KOICA program started in International Business and International Trade, 14 students from 11 countries.

  • Sep. 2005

    Second KOICA program started in International Business and International Trade, 11 students from 10 countries.

    The 10th Anniversary of the Ajou GSIS international symposium : "Issues and Prospects for International Trade and Business Policies: Country Studies"

  • Sep. 2006

    Third KOICA program started in International Business and International Trade, 9 students from 9 countries.

    Ajou GSIS international symposium : Issues and Prospects of the Free Trade Agreement(FTA)

    Fourth KOICA program started in International Business and International Trade, 15 students from 13 countries
