[GSIS] Announcement regarding the recent major COVID-19 outbreak

Hello Ajou GSIS Community,

This is to inform about the recent news on the COVID-19 spread case in Mapo-gu, Seoul and updates from the

Ministry of Education to alleviate the increasing cases. The origins of this intractable outbreak are in pubs and clubs in

Mapo-gu. On June 29^th, the Central Disaster Management Headquarters sent out notices that advised all visitors in such

venues to get tested for COVID-19. The Ministry of Education predicted an increasing number of gatherings due to the

upcoming summer break and adjustment of the social distancing measures. In relation to the recent major outbreak and

to take safe precautions to their prediction, the Ministry of Education asked for cooperation from the university to manage

our students with continuing to enforce social distancing and mask policies. Taking into account the soaring daily new

cases and requests from the ministry, we implore all students to follow guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 on

campus and at public and multi-purpose facilities.
