[GSIS] Important Notice about Part-time Work Permission

Dear GSIS students,

I have an announcement regarding profit-making activity.

I heard from the immigration office that some international students got caught doing the profit-making activities online through SNS (Instagram, Facebook) including below activities which is not allowed for international students.

1) Selling Cell-phone

2) Illegal Foreign Exchange Dealing

3) Online Marketing

For-profit activities conducted without reporting to the immigration office are illegal offenses that are prohibited for foreign students staying with a student visa.

The above acts are not only foreigners but also Koreans who are subject to charges such as the Tax Criminal Punishment Act.

Foreign students who are caught may be subject to legal action such as fines and visa restrictions.

Students who posted the above promotional posts on personal SNS should be deleted immediately.

I would like to emphasize once again that all commercial activities without permission from the Immigration Office are prohibited for international students.
