[GSIS] Applying for Major Change (by December 14)

Here is an announcement of major change

Period for Applying for Major Change : December 1(Wed) ~ December 14(Tues)

If you would like to change your current major from 2022 Spring Semester, please fill out the application form(attached file) and prepare your transcript so far. 


After that, send a request email with prepared documents and get a confirmation from both of your current department chairman and department chairman of the major to which you want to change to.

When you submit the 'application for changing major' form, please submit us via email(gsis@ajou.ac.kr) this time.

(* Under COVID 19 pandemic situation, instead of visiting offices, send confirmation request emails to both department chairmen and share the email with GSIS office. Please CC gsis@ajou.ac.kr when you send emails to both chairmen. When you send an email to each department chair, you must inform them why you write the email and why you want to change your major on your best behavior.)


Applying for major change is only allowed ONCE during your study, and a student can change his or her major before his or her second or third semester begins.
 
So, currently enrolled 1st and 2nd-semester students can apply for changing majors.(KOICA  / GKS scholarship students can not apply for changing majors under the terms and conditions.)
 
The tuition is different in each department, so you want to make sure that the tuition might change.
 
If you change your major, be aware that you might have to enroll for additional semesters due to the required credits for graduation.
