2021 KOICA-KEA Jeju Energy Field Trip and Workshop

20 KOICA Energy Science and Policy students took a field trip to Jeju island for 3 days from December 1st to 3rd. The field trip was sponsored by Korea Energy Agency to let KOICA students learn and share knowledge about the new and renewable energy sights in Jeju island. During the field trip, KOICA students visited ‘New & Renewable EV Charging Station’, ‘New & Renewable Energy Exhibit Hall’, ‘Jeju Energy Agency’, and‘Tamra Offshore Wind Power’to learn about current energy development situation and what kind of efforts Jeju island is doing to make it a carbon free island.
KOICA students also shared their countries’ current energy situation during the workshop with Korea Energy Agency officials.
Through the field trip, KOICA students were not only able to experience and learn about energy situation of the Jeju island, but also experience beautiful scenery of Jeju island.
