NEW (2015-04-24) Ajou presents plaques of appreciation to donors for the University soccer team

A ceremony to present plaques of appreciation to those who contributed to Ajou University’s soccer team was held on April 24th in the President’s Office in Yulgok Hall. The donors are Hyo Shik Lee – father of University team soccer player Ji Min Lee, the Parents Society of the University Soccer Team, and President Sam Gu Lee of the University Soccer Team Supporters Association.
 
 
Hyo Shik Lee (right in above picture), whose son Ji Min joined the K-League Jeonnam Dragons Football Club this year on a free agent contract after playing for the University soccer team, contributed 30 million won. The Parents Society of the University Soccer Team and President Sam Gu Lee donated 10 million won each. The Parents Society raised funds from its 38 members to make the donation.
 
 
President Dong Yeon Kim hosted a luncheon with the donors after presenting them with plaques of appreciation. Chang Shik Kim, father of the University soccer team’s captain Gyeong Jae Kim, attended the event as the representative of the Parents Society. 
 
 
CEO Sam Gu Lee graduated from the Graduate School of Business Administration at the University, and now he serves as President of the University Soccer Team Supporters Association and a director of the Akyung Scholarship Foundation. He has continually made contributions to benefit Ajou’s students.
