[NOTICE] Invitation to the 2025 Spring Course at the Leadership Academy

Sunnong Culture Forum, a non-profit non-governmental organization, warmly invites the international students from developing countries to participate in the 2025 Spring Course at the Leadership Academy, commencing on Friday, March 7.

Founded in September 2017, the Leadership Academy aims to share Korea’s remarkable journey from an aid recipient to a global economic powerhouse, emphasizing the principles of self-help and ownership.

The course will cover essential topics related to Korea’s development, including industry, science and technology, rural development (Saemaul Undong), reforestation, democratic development, and challenges facing the Korean economy in the 21st century.

Additionally, it will address four critical issues often encountered by developing countries: mindset challenges, aid dependence, corruption, and the need for effective leadership, alongside pressing global issues such as inequality.

The curriculum is specifically crafted to foster a “Can-Do-Spirit” and cultivate “Ownership and Leadership” among participants, empowering them to become promising leaders in their home countries.

Our distinguished speakers, who possess extensive experience as senior policy makers or leaders of esteemed national tanks, hold advanced degrees (PhDs) in their fields.

Notably, former United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon will deliver a special lecture on Climate Change and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Leadership Academy provides a unique platform to share insights into Korea’s development while fostering goodwill and friendship among a diverse group of international students.

Classes will be conducted in English on every Friday evening from 6:30 PM to 8:45 PM over a span of 13 weeks, with one field trip scheduled for Saturday.

The sessions will take place in a modern auditorium conveniently located near the Myeongdong subway station in downtown Seoul.

Our previous ten courses have been met with great success with 728 students from 101 countries across 42 different Universities received the certificates of completion.

Participation is free of charge, ensuring no financial burden on students.
