2013 Daegu Congress Developing Countries Program
In an effort to balance regional participation of congress delegates and encourage representation from developing countries, the WEC Daegu 2013 Organising Committee is providing a special Developing Countries Program. This program is designed to assist delegates from developing countries who would otherwise be unable to attend the Congress, ensuring broad representation of both geographical
regions and interests. Through this programme, the WEC Daegu 2013 Organising Committee and the
World Energy Council are pleased to invite delegates from developing countries to attend the 22nd World Energy Congress. During the event, delegates will be able to actively engage with the global energy community, addressing key issues on the energy, energy access and development agenda.

 

Who can apply?
To participate in the Developing Countries Program of WEC Daegu 2013, all applicants should meet the following criteria

 :Citizenship in one of the 47 developing countries designated as such by Page 2 of 2 World Energy Council and the Daegu Organising Committee.

 

These countries are as below, in alphabetical order:
Afghanistan, Albania, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Bolivia, Botswana, Bulgaria,
Cambodia, Cameroon, Chad, Congo(DR), Côte d’Ivoire, East Timor, Ethiopia,
Gabon, Ghana, Jordan, Kenya, Kiribati, Laos, Lebanon, Macedonia, Mongolia,
Morocco, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Paraguay,
Peru, Philippines, Samoa, Senegal, Serbia, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka,
Swaziland, Syria, Tanzania, Tunisia, Tuvalu, Uruguay, Vanuatu, Yemen and
Zimbabwe

   - Working in the energy industry
- Fluent in English
- Highly motivated, and encouraged to work with WEC and share their views and experiences

 

Please note that the Developing Countries Program has limited capacity. Spaces will
be granted on a first come first serve basis and the maximum number of
delegates per country will be capped at five. Additional applications can be
submitted and will be incorporated in a waiting list. Participation of additional
candidates will depend on programme capacity and will be issued at the
discretion of the Daegu 2013 Organising Committee.

 

 

Applicants must be submit their application until 15th of June
