Suwon Hwasung Fortress Festival

Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival is one of the largest culture and tourism festivals in Korea. It preserves the spirit of Hwaseong Fortress, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, and commemorates the filial affection and innovations of King Jeonjo, who built the fortress.

Over the years, Suwon Hwaseong Festival has become established as a quintessential regional cultural festival that promotes the traditional culture and tourism of Suwon.

This September, you are cordially invited to Suwon, where the culture and art of the past and present elegantly harmonized. All visitors can experience joyful and educational moment in Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival.

A parade is going to be held on Saturday, 28th of September in Suwon of 5000 people. Few countries have been given privilege to participate in the parade. We would like to invite International Students in Ajou University to participate on the program and represent their country and promote their culture, tourism. Upon participation, the participants will be issued a letter of appreciation by Suwon Migrant Center, Suwon.

Interested students are to register their name by Friday and present themselves at Suwon Migrant Center near by Suwon Station at 10 am on Saturday.

10 am - departure to the parade preparation
