NOTICE : Winter Vacation Internship Opportunity

[Winter Vacation Internship Opportunity]

Upon students’ request and desire for internship opportunities at the Korean companies or institutions, GSIS is currently working hard to provide some internship opportunities with our students using 2013 winter vacation period.  In this regard, GSIS would like to know how many students would be interested in and are willing to participate in the internship opportunities.  To be very frankly, internship arrangements are a very difficult process, unfortunately, all students cannot have benefits of this opportunities.  

At this point, GSIS would like to know how many students would be interested in the internship and will keep you updated in this regard.  Students who have interested in this internship, please read the following information very carefully and send the attached form via email to the GSIS office at gsis@ajou.ac.kr no later than December 12th(Thursady), 2013.  Students who do not send a form to confirm their wishes for internship will NOT be included for further process.  Students should carefully think and inform the wishes for a fine process.

Please note that this is a pre-step for fine internship opportunity and process, and the finalized internship information will be announced again around the end of October of early November for official internship application process. 

2013 Winter Internship Introduction
	Eligibility: GSIS students who have completed at least two semesters at the end of 2013 fall semester (students currently in the 2nd semester are included).  Students who are expected to graduate (4th or higher) cannot be included.
	How to apply: Please send the attached form to participate in internship via email to gsis@ajou.ac.kr by December 12th, 2013 (please keep the deadline)
	Internship Period: Between January ~ February, about 4weeks or 8 weeks(period varies according to the companies circumstances)
	Possible Companies and Institutions : TBA
	Job Description: basic business research or office work related to the companies’ need and may need your native language other than English and knowledge about your country.  Job description could be different according to the companies or the division of the company.  The final information will also be announced around the end of December, 2013
	Salary: Unpaid ( A partial stipend can be provided according to the company and this could also vary according to the companies situations)

	Note 1: Please note that this process is a pre-process for internship, and students who send the form DO NOT mean that they will be benefited from this internship.  Due to companies and institutions circumstances and preferences, country, work experience and other work/educational related information will be highly considered.
	Note 2: This internship will be recognized as ‘Business Internship’ course (3 credits) during winter vacation period or during 2014 spring semester. 
               4 weeks Internship – Business Internship 1 or NGO Internship 1
(3 Credits, Major Electives)
               8 weeks Internship – NGO Internship 2 or IDC Internship 2
(3 Credits, Not counted as graduation requirement)
