1. Term : one semester
- Spring Semester: March 1st ~ June 30th (four months)
 
2. Number of Representatives: 1 representative in each department (IB / IT/ NGO / IDC)
 
3. Qualifications:
- Students who are strong in academic ability (should have overall GPA higher than 3.5/4.5)

- Students who are sincere, diligent, has strong leadership and dedicated to work for the improvements of their department and for the Ajou GSIS.

- Students who are currently enrolled 3rd and 4th Semester.

- Students who live on-campus is preferred 

 - Basic Korean Language is preferred.
 
4. Benefits of Student Representative:

- Paid 200,000KRW/Month for four months only when you submit the monthly report (vacation period is not included)

- Will have a priority to be invited several events organized by the GSIS as well as by the University which are not opened to all students

- Will be working together with GSIS staff members in making many activity plans for the students

5. Responsibilities of Student Representative

- Organizing department meeting twice (In the beginning and at the end of semester) and submit the report 
 - Building rapport with students of your department and acting as a liason between GSIS office and students

- Arranging Department Meetings with Department Chair in your department

- Encouraging students to participate in day trips and other academic events

- Submit a monthly report & Department meeting Report

- Participating in day trips and Submitting a day trip summary report 

6. How to apply for candidacy:
 
- Application period
Students interested in running for the candidates should submit an individual application form  GSIS office (gsis@ajou.ac.kr) by Feb. 7th (Fri) at 1pm.
 
7. Election Procedure:
 
1)	GSIS office will collect all the application forms submitted and will announce the candidate list via NOTICE board on Feb. 10th (Mon).
 
2) Students will elect one candidate via survey website from Feb. 11th to 13th (Tue to Thurs).
 
3) GSIS will collect three candidates according to the result of students’ vote and will forward all candidates to each department chair to finally select the student representatives. 
* For the final decision, GSIS and department chairs will consider students’ academic ability, attitudes toward all events, seminars, lectures provided by the GSIS, attitudes toward other students, leadership and diligence.
 
4) GSIS will announce the final winner selected by the students and the department chairs via NOTICE Board on Feb. 21st (Fri).

Students who are interested in becoming 2013 Fall semester student representatives, please download an application form attached and submit it by 1pm, Feb. 7th to GSIS office both gsis@ajou.ac.kr.
